The name ”Sommarnatt” meaning summer night refers to the long summer nights experienced in Dalarna where in the middle of summer, around 20 hours of daylight can be experienced.

A historic herrgård from 1825 located in the just as historic Dalarna region of Sweden. This mansion will create the feeling of experiencing a museum of how the upper class lived in the country side of Sweden in the 19th and 20th century.

The mansion comes with an outside pool, a tennis court, a boule court, and for the ones planning on bringing their own horses, stables with four horse boxes.

Dalarna is the region in Sweden where the iconic red Dala horses originate from. In many places in Dalarna there is the opportunity to create your own Dala horse! Besides this, the area has some beautiful nature perfect for some outdoors exploring.

This estate is the perfect choice for a smaller conference, a company kick off in an historic region, or a larger family reunion.

The layout of the house

Villa Sommarnatt consists of two floors: the ground entrance floor which consists of the kitchen, large dining room, the drawing room, and the glazed terrace. The second floor holds the bedrooms and bathrooms.

The bedrooms are as follows:
1 bedroom with a king size bed
6 bedrooms with a single beds each

The large dining table in the dining room can be a perfect place for a large midsommar or christmas dinner with the family. In the garden the spacious pool, tennis court and boule court can be found, as well as the romantic orangery and green house which can be used for a exquisite setting for an afternoon tea or garden dining. The orangery fits up to six people.

Location

From Villa Sommarnatt it is a 1hr and 45 min drive to the historic city of Mora, where also the famous Vasaloppet ski country race is held every year. To Falun, which is the capital of Dalarna, it is only a 50 min drive. The famous red colour of Swedish houses come from this city, and is often referred to as fall-röd (Falun-red) colour. Visit the Falun Coppermine and surroundings, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for kids there is the wonderful Children’s Mine attraction.

Check out the dalahäst, or model Dala Horse everywhere in Dalarna and particularly the totally charming villages of Nusnäs and Tällberg where they have a long tradition of making them.
