Sleeping beneath the stars has never been more applicable than at this villa, which is where it owes its name to since ”Stjernehimmel” is the Norwegian word for starry sky.
Villa Stjernehimmel is entirely built using wooden materials given that true winter cabin feeling. All walls, floors, and ceilings are paneled with different types of wood and it truly creates a warm place to come back to after a day in the snow.
One of the great aspects of this villa is the separate ski storage cabin, to rinse off and store all ski equipment, avoiding any snow debris in the villa.
Since the villa can accommodate such a large group of people, the sauna is thankfully of a large size as well. From the sauna area it is possible to roll through the snow after which to hop over to the bubbling steaming jacuzzi, and to take the time to gaze up at the starry sky.
Due to the low amount of artificial light on this mountain, the sky at night is extremely clear and makes for some extraordinary stargazing.
